Hi Testudo, your pictures look great. What equipment do you use? We'll be in Grand Cayman in January and considering buying a camera and are looking for suggestions.

I am currently using a Pentax Optio W80. Performs well underwater, but not so good above. Two big negatives to the camera are the short battery life of the OEM battery and the lack of a hardware image stabilizer. The software image stabilization is more of a hindrance than a benefit. But it does shot 720p video which is pretty cool.
Pentax has discontinued the W80 and come out with a newer model. I plan on adding a Canon D10 to my stable shortly. It has hardware image stabilization and better optics.

I have just replaced the Canon D10that got stolen and hope to have some new picture posted, here and in the blog, from it later in the month. The few shots I took with the first one looked very, very promising. Also, I normally just use Google's Picasa for my post processing "clean-up" of the underwater images, but have recently been impressed with another free program, Photoscape: www.photoscape.org/ps/main/download.php. It has many more processing options than Picasa and seems to do a better job of removing the blue caste from large filed of view underwater shots.
