My wife and I will be coming down for vacation for seven days starting this Saturday. We are staying at on Seven Mile Beach and I was hoping to get some advice on activities. I am wanting to get the off the beaten trail expirience. The good hole in the wall restraunts/bars, snorkeling spots that arent over run, and just fun things to get the full Cayman expirience. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

A couple of suggestions: Check out the driving tour on the blog for an overview of some spots (sightseeing, shopping and dinning) to investigate: snorkelblog.tumblr.com/post/9249828912/grand-cayman-driving-tourThe best snorkeling spots are on the other side of the island from Seven Mile Beach, so again refer to the blog. Some off the beaten path restaurant near SMB are: Heritage Kitchen in West Bay, Chef John's and Norma Jean's BBQ stands along West Bay Rd. (Thur-Sat); Kurt's Korner in Old Man Bay, any of the jerk/fish fry places in Bodden Town. Some activities would be: a night bio-luminescent bay kayak tour or a day mangrove kayak tour; Sunday brunch at Luca, the Ritz or the Westin; ask your bartender for a Swanky. Stop by the Grand Cayman Forum on TripAdvisor for suggestions from other folks: www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g147364-i260-Cayman_Islands.htmlAnd I normally don't recommend visitors to check out Rum Point on a late Sunday afternoon, but if you want a flavor of Cayman it certainly cannot be missed.
