On Wednesday, September 15, 2010, the first ever Google Day took place in the SaSaZu club in Prague. It was a conference full of interesting topics, which was followed by a party on the occasion of the fourth birthday of Google Czech Republic. Google's great image is no accident, so we were very much looking forward to this event. Upon arrival, everyone received a welcome drink, settled down and, as always, Taťána le Moigne, Country Director of Google Czech Republic, gave the opening speech. After her entry, we were able to gradually watch presentations from the Internet, advertising and economics. The well-known presenter Lucie Výborná completed the comfortable atmosphere of the entire evening.
The whole event took B2B Email List place in the spirit of "Looking for growth" . The topics of the presentations were really diverse and the presenters did not limit themselves to Internet topics. The first to speak was Tomáš Holub from the CNB, who presented the macroeconomic forecast for the development of the Czech Republic. He dealt with the effects of the economic crisis on the Czech Republic, especially the decline in economic activity and its current growth. This was followed by the presentation "Internet Trends", led by Obi Felten, Director of Consumer Marketing EMEA Google. This time too, the topic of growth was not neglected, this time in the online area. Obi listed 5 key Internet trends: the global growth of online search, increasing quality media content, the development of mobile platforms, the desire for more and more information, and the rise of socialization on the Internet.
After Obi, the couple Christophe Muller and Suveer Kothari from Google took the floor. They guided us through the technologies and options offered by YouTube, such as technology for the deaf, which will display subtitles for videos based on the user's location. They did not forget to show videos with interactive content, YouTube Insights, the YouTube interface for big screens or YouTube.com/disco. Most of these things are well known, but it was still a very nice presentation. This was followed by a presentation on the innovations of Google products led by Jens Redmer, Dave Burke and Jaroslav Bengl. I admit that I was seriously excited by some of the samples, let's take a look at them. Let's start with Google Images. No doubt many users search for images on Google, but few are familiar with the options and settings available.
